INSTRUCTIONS Version 1: 


Using color A, ch 4; join with slip st in first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. (16 dc)

Round 2:  Ch 5 counts as hdc plus ch-3, [skip next st, hdc in next st, ch 3] 7 times; join with slip st in 2nd ch of beg ch-5. (8 hdc, 8 ch-3 sps)

Round 3: Ch 3, dc in same st, *2 sc in next ch-3 space, sc in next st, 2 sc in next ch-3 sp, **(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next st,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** once; 2 dc in same st as beg ch-3; join with ch 1 plus hdc in top of beg ch-3. (16 dc, 20 sc, 4 ch-2 sps)

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same sp, *dc in next 9 sts **, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 space,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time; 2 dc in same st as beg ch-3, join with ch-1 plus hdc in top of beg ch-3. (52 dc, 4 ch-2 sp)

Round 5: Ch 3, dc in same st, *ch 1, sk 1 st, [dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1 st]  repeat between [ ] across to corner, **(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time, 2 dc in beg corner; join with ch-1 plus hdc in top of beg ch-3. Finish off.  (40 dc, 28 ch-1 sps, 4 ch-2 sps)

INSTRUCTIONS Version 2: 


Using color A, ch 4; join with slip st in first ch to form a ring.

Round 1: Ch 3, 15 dc in ring; join with slip st in top of beg ch-3. (16 dc)

Round 4: Ch 3, dc in same st, *ch 1, sk 1 st, [dc in next st, ch 1, sk 1 st]  repeat between [ ] across to corner, **(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 sp,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to ** 1 time, 2 dc in beg corner; join with ch-1 plus hdc in top of beg ch-3. (32 dc, 20 ch-1 sps, 4 ch-2 sps).     

Round 5: Ch 3, dc in same sp, *dc in each st or ch-1 sp across **, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in next ch-2 space,* repeat from * to * 2 times and from * to * 1 time; 2 dc in same st as beg ch-3, join with ch-1 plus hdc in top of beg ch-3.  Finish off. (68 dc, 4 ch-2 sp)
